Michael Baker International Hires Brian G. May as Senior Vice President and National Market Lead, Air Force

Pittsburgh  – Michael Baker International, a global leader in engineering, planning and consulting services, announced that Brian G. May has joined the firm as Senior Vice President and National Market Lead, Air Force, to serve as the Company’s Air Force National Market Leader.

Prior to joining Michael Baker, Mr. May served as the General Manager of Government Electronic Benefits Transfer Services at Solutran Inc., a financial and payment processing services firm. In this role, he led business development, project execution, operations and client engagement related to payment processing services for government-funded Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Programs.

Mr. May retired from the U.S. Air Force in 2017 at the rank of Colonel after 25 years of military service as a civil engineer, including leadership experience in installation planning, capital investment decision-making and facility design and construction. Prior to his retirement, he served as Director of Facility Engineering at the Air Force Civil Engineer Center (AFCEC) in San Antonio, Texas, where he led a staff of 150 engineers and project managers in the oversight and on-time, within budget execution of a $10 billion worldwide design and construction portfolio. Prior to his time with AFCEC, Mr. May served in different leadership roles with either direct involvement in or oversight responsibility for facility planning and management activities, both in the field and at headquarters levels.

Mr. May earned his Master of Arts degree in National Security and Strategic Studies from the Naval War College in Newport, Rhode Island; his Master of Arts degree in Military Operational Art and Science from Air University in Montgomery, Alabama; his Master of Business Administration degree from Saint Martin’s University in Lacey, Washington; and his Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Notre Dame in Notre Dame, Indiana.
