Cardno’s MIles Ballogg Accepts Invitation to Join EPA’s Superfund Working Group of the National Environmental Justice Advisory Council

TAMPA, FL  — Cardno is pleased to announce that Miles Ballogg has been invited to join the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency’s (EPA) Superfund Working Group of the National Environmental Justice Advisory Council (NEJAC). 
The NEJAC working group’s objective is to deliver recommendations to the EPA Administrator on ways to advance the effectiveness and efficiency of the Superfund program and how community revitalization can be furthered through reuse of formerly contaminated sites.

Miles is a Senior Principal within Cardno, where he serves as the company’s Brownfields and Economic Development Director. He has more than 20 years of experience in assisting public and private sector clients in facilitating the redevelopment of environmentally impaired and challenged properties. Miles is considered a leading advocate for the promotion of environmental justice and public health through brownfield redevelopment programs.

As part of the working group, Miles will offer brownfields, environmental engineering, and environmental management expertise along with specific guidance related to environmental justice and public health in at-risk and underutilized communities throughout the country. 

“I’m honored to have been asked to participate and develop recommendations through this working group,” said Miles. “My goal as a member is to use my project experience and voice to make conditions better for underserved communities near Superfund sites throughout the country.”
