SAN FRANCISCO – PlanGrid, recently acquired by Autodesk and a leader in construction productivity software, today announced Clune Construction Company, a U.S.-based general contractor managing projects in over 40 states across the country, will standardize on PlanGrid. Clune is deploying PlanGrid’s easy-to-use software throughout its organization to manage construction and project activity in the field.

Headquartered in Chicago, Clune oversees complex interior build-outs and mission-critical data center construction. It has already employed PlanGrid on several projects ranging from multiple-floor build-outs to brand new core and shell buildings.

Clune’s new partnership with PlanGrid originated from the software’s popularity among its field-level employees. Superintendents in the field initially adopted PlanGrid’s mobile-first technology to manage safety requirements. Clune began deploying PlanGrid across the company to continue fostering strong relationships with clients by providing real-time visibility in to projects and delivering comprehensive, easy-to-reference turnover packages. With Clune’s standardization on PlanGrid, project teams will be able to leverage consistent processes and technology on every jobsite, with all team members working from the current set of plans and following the same set of protocols.

“As project demand and complexity increases, adopting straightforward technology solutions that increase jobsite productivity and streamline processes is essential to the success of our teams in the field,” says Adam Wojak, a senior vice president, senior superintendent at Clune. “Standardizing on PlanGrid will enhance our ability to consistently deliver high-quality projects to our clients.”

In addition, with PlanGrid, Clune will benefit from the ability to reduce project knowledge loss and maintain a high level of information while still expediting the delivery of project turnover documents. PlanGrid’s rich data set of activity history becomes an accurate as-built, enabling Clune to enhance project visibility for owners and strengthen the company’s value as a partner to clients.

“The construction industry is inundated with cumbersome technology that is difficult to scale across the various levels of a team, from the field to the office,” says Toby Corey, president of global field operations at PlanGrid. “We are honored to partner with Clune to provide them with easy-to-use software that will drive consistent processes and technology on every jobsite, and accelerate productivity across the organization.”
