Roberto “Carlo” Adair joins HNTB in Lake Mary as ITS section manager

LAKE MARY, Fla. – Roberto “Carlo” Adair, PE, joined HNTB Corporation as intelligent transportation systems section manager, based in the firm’s growing Lake Mary office. Adair has more than 15 years of experience, primarily focused on ITS design and project management, with extensive project work throughout Florida.  

“A patented inventor and avid professional, Carlo is using his extensive experience to lead a team that provides transportation solutions focused on innovative applications and client satisfaction,” said Frank O’Dea, PE, HNTB group director-engineering and vice president. 

Prior to joining HNTB, Adair served as chief operating office for Blue-Band, LLC, an ITS technology firm focused on environmentally conscious transportation solutions designed to upgrade legacy infrastructure in support of future transportation technologies.  He also served in project management roles for both ITS and traffic operations efforts.

Adair has comprehensive ITS knowledge gained from working with Florida Department of Transportation, Florida’s Turnpike Enterprise, Sarasota County and other agencies throughout Florida. He also is a proven traffic signal, signing and pavement marking, and lighting engineer.

He earned a Bachelor of Science in civil engineering from the University of Central Florida.
