SidePlate Announces All Field-Bolted Connection Availability
Mission Viejo, CA – SidePlate Systems, the industry leader in structural steel design optimization announces the release of field-bolted connections for all applications. Our new SidePlate and SidePlate PLUS connections can be applied to any lateral steel design bringing the optimization we are known for to your project.
The SidePlate connection is optimized for projects outside seismic regions. The joint has no field-welding, which speeds up any construction project by eliminating weather delays and minimizing the need for specialized field welding. In addition, added stiffness in the field-bolted joint design typically allows for an overall lighter steel package, reducing project costs and enhancing erection speeds.
The SidePlate PLUS connection is perfect for areas with special seismic requirements. The PLUS design is also field-bolted and brings an AISC 358 approval with it. In PLUS applications you will find dramatic time savings over field-welded connections, along with a reduction in overall steel weight. Projects optimized with SidePlate Plus produce economical steel buildings with the enhanced resiliency and ductility those projects require.
