Aviation Architecture Expert, Andres Chacon, Joins HNTB in Tampa as Deputy Project Manager

TAMPA, Fla.  – Andres Chacon, AIA, LEED AP, NCARB, SCA, joined HNTB Corporation as deputy project manager – aviation. He is based in the firm’s Tampa office and will work throughout the Southeast.

Chacon is responsible for coordination of all aviation project efforts in the region to ensure efficient and effective delivery for airport clients working hard to improve facilities and passenger experience. He currently serves as deputy project manager for the $300 million Tampa International Airport Main Terminal Curbside Expansion project.

Chacon has 14 years of architectural experience, serving on a variety of complex projects for airports across the U.S., including Miami International Airport; Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport; Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport in Washington, D.C.; and Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport.

Prior to joining HNTB, Chacon served as project architect and associate at another consulting firm, gaining experience in project leadership and scheduling, design concepts, and a variety of aviation projects, including terminal renovations and airport modernizations, airline club renovations and more. 

Chacon earned a bachelor’s degree in architecture from the San Buenaventura University in Cali, Colombia.
