DENVER — Professional Engineer Greg Brazeau has been hired by Woolpert as an Asset Management Program Director in the firm’s Information Technology Management Consulting (ITMC) market. Brazeau brings a wealth of experience identifying and implementing asset management solutions for municipal and private water and wastewater entities.

“My background is in the utilities asset prioritization realm, which asks what the best approach is to system repairs, replacements, etc.,” Brazeau said. “Those questions are answered differently depending on the organization you’re working with. I think marketing and delivery of asset prioritization as part of an overall asset management solution can be a key differentiator for Woolpert.”

Brazeau earned his bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from the Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University, and is a member of the American Water Works Association (AWWA). He said he was drawn to Woolpert by its utility asset management focus and the position’s leadership and trailblazing opportunities.

“Woolpert isn’t just another consulting engineering firm; the vibe is totally different,” Brazeau said. “There’s a geospatial focus, and it’s very forward-thinking and tech-heavy. There just aren’t a ton of organizations out there like that, and Woolpert is clearly leading the charge.”

Woolpert Vice President and ITMC Market Director Dave Feuer cited Brazeau’s stellar software and civil engineering background as assets to the firm.

“Greg has been successful in taking new software to market, as well as in fostering strong end-user business relationships and business partnerships,” Feuer said. “He is well-equipped to identify and execute effective solutions for clients, from selection through implementation. We’re stoked that he’s part of our team.”

Brazeau also spent the last seven years learning and finding solutions for water and wastewater systems in the western U.S., assisting public organizations throughout the region. He said he hopes to help the firm expand its presence there, and to build on Woolpert’s meticulous approach to implementations across the country.

“Woolpert has made a business of not just delivering asset management solutions, but ensuring they are successful with the true end-users,” Brazeau said. “The reason the firm has been so successful is its documented approach and involvement of the right people, job by job. I plan to continue this approach, and to bring key differentiators such as complementary, system-specific ‘X-factor’ solutions whenever it makes sense.

“Other organizations may roll out CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) platforms and asset management solutions,” he added, “but nobody will do it better than Woolpert.”
