Water clarity is an important part of water quality. It impacts the health of plants and fish and affects the appearance of recreational waterways. Good water quality is challenged by the natural buildup of decaying plant and fecal matter, which increases TSS (total suspended solids) and organic sludge. It is also threatened by nutrient rich waters from agricultural and municipal runoff. This “nutrient pollution” from excess nitrogen and phosphorus creates a prime environment for the growth of algae. Buildup of organic matter and excess nutrients can result in turbid waters, toxic overloads, bad odors, low dissolved oxygen levels, and fish and plant die-off.

This all-natural bioaugmentation treatment contains non-pathogenic bacteria that digest organic waste and “eat” the same nutrients responsible for nutrient pollution.
