SALT LAKE CITY, UTAH: NYSE, TSX:STN: Clint Rogers has joined global architecture, engineering, consulting, and construction firm Stantec as regional sector leader for water in the Salt Lake City office located in Cottonwood Heights, Utah. Drawing from his local knowledge and depth of experience in the region, Rogers will oversee growing Stantec’s water practice in Utah, Idaho, and Nevada in the firm’s Southwest U.S. region.

Rogers comes to Stantec from Carollo Engineers where he was vice president and office manager responsible for staffing and business development. With more than 12 years of experience working on various water and wastewater projects as project manager, project engineer, and principal-in-charge, Rogers also spent time in the field working as a construction manager. He specializes in water and wastewater treatment planning design and construction; he has a research interest in advanced treatment processes for removal of pharmaceuticals and endocrine-disrupting compounds.

Recently, as project manager for the Regional Wastewater Treatment Plant Nitrate Mitigation project in Cedar City, Utah, Rogers was responsible for the construction drawings and specifications that were prepared for an upgrade to the plant to meet a total inorganic nitrogen (TIN) limit of 10 milligrams per liter. The project consisted of replacing existing trickling filters with MLE Bioreactors, modifications to the existing primary and secondary clarifier splitter boxes, intermediate pump station, primary scum pit, and chlorine contact basin. Additionally, new facilities included a solids handling building, RAS/WAS pump station, secondary scum pit, and electrical gear with stand-by power.

“We are thrilled with the level of expertise Clint is bringing to the region,” says Dr. Steve Weber, vice president of Stantec’s Southwestern water group. “His ability to bring teams together to tackle complex water issues will be a huge asset to Stantec.”

A Utah native, Rogers is a graduate of Utah State University with both a master’s and bachelor’s degree in civil and environmental engineering. He is a registered professional engineer in Utah and former president of the state’s Water Environment Association.

Rogers is a dedicated father to five children. In his spare time, he enjoys both snow and water skiing.
