The seven-story Cleveland Clinic Taussig Cancer Center was designed, in association with William Rawn Associates, to optimize patient treatment and provide multidisciplinary care under one roof. The nearly 400,000-square-foot facility includes a private cancer hematology lab; a wellness center with reflexology and massage therapies; art and music therapy; a retail pharmacy; a boutique for wigs, prosthetics, and makeup; a resource center; a meditation space; and administrative offices. The project is currently awaiting LEED® Silver certification.
“Following our client’s mission to put ‘patients first,’ our team worked closely with Cleveland Clinic to design a world-class cancer outpatient building that allows patients to see multiple specialists in one facility,” said Jennifer L. Storey AIA, EDAC, project manager for Stantec. “State-of-the-art technology is combined with open views and abundant natural light help create a serene environment where the clinic staff can care for each patient’s unique needs.”
