HDR Establishes New Boston Location

HDR’s growth and the expansion of services in the Boston area over the past 20 years led to the office’s recent move to 99 High Street. With sweeping views of the Boston Harbor, the new 25,000-square-foot space embodies HDR’s commitment to provide a diverse and dynamic work environment that will accommodate continued growth.

The office is jointly led by Cynthia Carleo, New England area manager of engineering, and Chad Reilly, managing principal of architecture.

“Our new space has been nothing short of transformational,” said Reilly. “When you step into the office, you feel a sense of energy and camaraderie among the team members, and that—together—great things can be achieved.”

A grand opening celebration was held earlier this spring with 200 clients, friends and colleagues in attendance.

”We were pleased to see how many clients joined us to help celebrate our new space,” Carleo said. “We’re looking forward to serving them even more effectively and collaborating on more projects.”

Many of HDR’s local projects have been recently recognized for excellence in design and sustainability. They include the restoration of Springfield Union Station Intermodal Center in Springfield, Massachusetts; the Government Center T Station in downtown Boston; the Williamson Translational Research Building at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center in Lebanon, New Hampshire; the Brigham and Women’s Thea & James M. Stoneman Centennial Park Patient Parking Garage; and the Conley Container Terminal’s Thomas J. Butler Dedicated Freight Corridor and Memorial Park.

HDR employs more than 150 architecture, engineering, environmental, construction and related professionals in Greater Boston and New England.
