East Coast Erosion Control Receives Innovative Application of Technology Award
Bernville, PA – March 19, 2017 – East Coast Erosion Control is honored to be the recipient of the “Innovative Application of Technology” award. The “Innovation Application of Technology” award is given by the Ben Franklin Technology Partners of Northeastern Pennsylvania, to “the company that strongly demonstrates a ‘break-the-mold’ approach to integrating new or existing technology into its business.”
East Coast Erosion Control will be formally honored at the Ben Franklin iXchange event, to be held Tuesday, May 22, 2018 at the Zoellner Arts Center at Lehigh University, Bethlehem.
Awards are given to companies who achieved exceptional business success with the aid of Ben Franklin funding and assistance, have helped others to achieve success, or have improved their business through innovation.
Utilizing a $75,000 investment from Ben Franklin Technology Partners, over three years, East Coast Erosion Control made operational process improvements to enhance customer delivery performance, reduce cost-of goods sold, increase efficiency and maximize production capacities. The upgrades allowed East Coast Erosion Control to further establish itself as a leader in the industry for production capacity, establish a competitive advantage and facilitate continued growth. East Coast Erosion Control is planning a major expansion of its physical plant and equipment, yielding an increase in production of 46 percent.
