Structural Engineer Stephen Cegelka Joins Stantec’s Anchorage Office

Anchorage, AK, NYSE, TSX:STN: Stephen Cegelka, PE, SE, has joined Stantec in its Anchorage office as a senior structural engineer. He has more than 20 years of in-state industry experience serving both public and private clients.

 

Cegelka will provide senior design leadership for a variety of both building and civil design projects. Since joining Stantec, Cegelka has focused on military, transportation and water projects. His previous project experience includes multiple North Slope and other oil and gas projects, along with bridges, schools, military facilities, and airport terminals.

 

“Steve’s Alaska design background is varied and lengthy, which adds greatly to our growing Alaska team,” said Tim Vig, Stantec senior principal in Anchorage. “He has managed and led integrated design teams for important oil and gas clients, while also working from one corner of the state to another. We are excited about what Steve brings to our team.”

 

Cegelka is a member of the American Society of Civil Engineers and the American Institute of Steel Construction. He is past president of the Structural Engineers Association of Alaska. He has Bachelor’s degrees in economics and civil engineering from the University of Oregon and Oregon State University, respectively. Additionally, he has a Master’s degree in architectural engineering from Penn State University.
