The newly released Stantec Airports book looks at how airports can create memorable experiences for passengers and a sense of place for their communities. In-depth case-studies of ten airports around the world are featured in the book, which includes unique photography, and extensive architectural and engineering details. The Stantec Airports book tells a story that will resonate with the everyday traveler, and those in the airport, architecture, and engineering industries.

“Airports are the front doors to cities and countries around the world. They can create a positive first and last impression for both visitors and residents. This book has been a labour of love, featuring projects that have been widely recognized as some of the best airports worldwide,” says Stanis Smith, executive vice president, Stantec. “Our commitment to work in partnership with our clients to push the envelope is clearly demonstrated in the terminals we have worked on. We don’t just design terminals, we create destinations.”

The Stantec Airports book showcases the stories behind the design and features of the following Airports around the world: Vancouver, Edmonton, Ottawa, Winnipeg, Iqaluit, Niagara Falls, Nassau Bahamas, Santiago Chile, Toronto Pearson, and San Diego cross boarder xpress.

The Stantec Airports book was written by the noted architecture critic Trevor Boddy, with a foreword by former Minister of International Trade David Emerson, with contributions by Stanis Smith.
