HNTB Hires Kia Gillette as Environmental Project Manager

INDIANAPOLIS  – Kia Gillette joined HNTB Corporation as an environmental project manager. Her role is strategic adviser on National Environmental Policy Act projects, programs and pursuits. She offices in Indianapolis and currently is working on environmental documents for the Indiana Department of Transportation.

Gillette has 17 years of experience in the environmental and transportation sectors. During her career, she has prepared numerous NEPA documents ranging from categorical exclusions, environmental assessments, to environmental impact statements. Her experience includes preparing and conducting quality audits on NEPA documents, project management, and delivering complex projects on aggressive schedules. She routinely works with state and local public agency clients as well as resource agencies.

Prior to joining HNTB, Gillette served another consulting firm as a technical lead on the I-69, Section 6 EIS from Martinsville, Indiana, to Indianapolis and managed the EA on the SR 37 improvement project in Fishers, Indiana, and Noblesville, Indiana.

Gillette holds a master’s degree in environmental science, environmental chemistry emphasis, from Indiana University and a bachelor’s degree in biology from Franklin College. She is an active member of the American Council of Engineering Companies. She holds a Scientific Purposes License from the state of Indiana.
