HNTB’s Joshua Englander Named to Getty House Foundation Board of Directors
LOS ANGELES – Joshua Englander, West Division government relations director for HNTB Corporation, has been appointed to the board of directors for the Getty House Foundation. A 21-member board implements the foundation’s mission and oversees its civic and educational programming.
“I am honored to join the distinguished group of professionals on the Getty House board whose leadership helps bring Angelenos from across the city together with innovators, activists, business leaders and government officials to foster a dialogue celebrating diversity, education, public-private partnerships and community engagement,” said Englander. “We will work together to support the foundation’s mission to ensure that a broad cross section of residents, especially young people, have access to Getty House and are included in its programs.”
The Getty House Foundation is a non-profit organization dedicated to civic education, community engagement and the preservation of Getty House, the official residence of the Mayor of Los Angeles. The foundation manages programs and outreach initiatives, including the Community Holiday series, Engage LA series and Women’s Leadership series.
HNTB’s involvement with the foundation includes being a sponsor of the Getty House Foundation’s Women’s Leadership Series, which is led by First Lady Amy Wakeland and encourages young women to pursue their dreams. The series highlights the leadership of women in Los Angeles, including Women in STEM.
Englander also serves as a board member for the Valley Industry & Commerce Association and has previously served on the board of the Eisner Pediatric & Family Medical Center Foundation. At HNTB, Englander assists with the development of the firm’s government relations strategies and messages to government officials, the media and public in California and throughout the region.
