Stantec’s Architecture team in Calgary welcomes Jacqui McFarland to its Interior Design practice. With over 25 years of experience in southern Alberta, Jacqui brings her passion for design, creativity, and collaboration to Stantec’s Alberta South Buildings team.

“We are very excited to welcome Jacqui to our team,” says Todd Hartley, senior principal, Buildings, Stantec. “Jacqui is a talented designer who can inspire and mentor our team while expanding our Interior Design portfolio. Jacqui’s reputation speaks to her dedication to her craft.”

Jacqui joins Stantec after working at Sizeland Evans Interior Design where her portfolio included residential, retail, corporate, and multi-family projects. Jacqui’s most recent project was the ATCO Commercial Centre Suburban Campus currently under construction. Before joining Sizeland Evans, Jacqui owned her own successful design studio where she worked on a number of award winning private residences.

Jacqui has been a professional instructor with the Department of Interior Design at Mount Royal University for over 18 years, and served as the Department Chair for 10 years. Mentoring young designers is a priority for Jacqui, and currently serves on the Council for Interior Design Accreditation Standards Committee for interior design education in North America.

“I was amazed to see how many of my former students are now working with me at here Stantec. I am excited to learn from them and share my own experience as we expand the team’s Interior Design expertise,” says Jacqui McFarland. “When I saw Stantec’s commitment to enhancing the communities we serve through our work- I knew this was the perfect place for me. I couldn’t turn down the opportunity to work for an Alberta success story on the global front, and a company who creatively serves diverse clients on high impact projects.”

Jacqui recently received an Award of Excellence from the Architectural Woodworkers Association, an Award of Excellence from the Alberta Masonry Awards for a single family residence, and a Presidential Citation from the Interior Design Educators Council. She currently volunteers for the Council for Interior Design Accreditation, and the Louise Dean Centre/Unlocking Potential Foundation.
