GLASGOW, Scotland – Transport Scotland, the agency responsible for the delivery of major infrastructure projects and for overseeing the operation of the Scottish transport networks, has awarded CH2M the Performance Audit Group (PAG) commission.

As the holder of the commission, CH2M will remain responsible for auditing, monitoring and reporting on the financial, technical and performance aspects of the operating companies and other suppliers to the Scottish trunk road network, which comprises more than 3,400km of motorways and A-roads across Scotland.

The company is uniquely positioned to deliver the PAG service, having worked on the commission since first being appointed in 1995. CH2M will continue to play a vital role in ensuring the needs of road users are met and that these public resources deliver value for money.

Donald Bell, Client Director at CH2M, commented, “CH2M is delighted to have been awarded this prestigious commission and we will continue working with Transport Scotland to carefully monitor the performance of the trunk road operating companies.”

Eddie McDowell, PAG Commission Manager, added, “Our highly experienced team is looking forward to working with Transport Scotland to tackle future challenges and deliver value through successful management and operation of the trunk road network.”

Hugh Gillies from Transport Scotland said, “This contract has been being awarded following a rigorous assessment and a tendering process that sought best value coupled with high quality delivery. We look forward to working with CH2M to deliver an ever more efficient trunk road maintenance service ensuring taxpayers and road users alike continue to receive value for money.”
