SAN DIEGO – HNTB Corporation continued its industry leadership and involvement at the Construction Management Association of America’s National Conference held in San Diego this month. More than 1,300 owners, construction managers and other industry professionals attended the conference and exhibition.

“HNTB continues its active engagement and participation in significant industry events like the CMAA annual conference where our professionals can share their expertise and best practices with many of our clients and colleagues,” said Joe Lawton, HNTB national construction management practice leader and CMAA Fellow. “The conference is an excellent opportunity for construction management practitioners – owners and service providers – to work collaboratively and creatively together to advance the CM profession by delivering innovative solutions.”

In addition to HNTB’s gold-level sponsorship, Mary Jane O’Meara, HNTB associate vice president, was a featured panelist in the plenary session based on the book, “Boots on the Ground, Flats in the Boardroom: Transportation Women Tell Their Stories.” Pioneering transportation women shared their anecdotes and career experiences that offered interesting insights about leadership and an inclusive workforce with the attendees.

In all, 14 construction management professionals from HNTB attended the event.

HNTB’s national construction management expertise includes the Caltrans Bridges at Devil’s Slide in California; Elizabeth River Tunnels in Virginia; the 11th Street Bridge Project in Washington, D.C.; and Seattle’s Mercer Corridor Improvements in Washington.

CMAA is the leading organization advancing professional construction and program management worldwide. Its membership is comprised of more than 14,000 public and private organizations, owners and individual practitioners. CMAA provides professional development, CM certification, advocacy and business opportunities to its members and the industry.
