Innovative foundation and offshore substation platform design and engineering will be the focus for Atkins at this year’s WindEurope event in Hamburg.

Excellence in design and engineering are just two of the expert capabilities that Atkins will be showcasing at the event. In particular Atkins will demonstrate its proven track record in the design and engineering of both fixed and floating offshore wind farm projects from around the world.

Sharing the Scottish Development International (SDI) exhibition space – stand 237, Hall B2 GF – Atkins will promote its innovative approach to design and engineering offshore fixed and floating wind farms.

Atkins’ offshore wind growth manager Una Brosnan said: “It’s our first time at WindEurope and we’re excited to be involved in one of the premier offshore wind conferences. With a number of our projects now in the water, the tangible evidence of our expertise in the offshore wind sector is there for everyone to see – we want to use this opportunity to showcase the variety of skills and experience that we have and we can apply to any number of offshore engineering challenges.”

With recent installation of Atkins-designed XL monopile foundations at Statoil’s Dudgeon offshore wind farm, and the installation of the Atkins-designed offshore substations at DONG Energy’s Burbo Bank Extension and Race Bank offshore wind farms, Atkins maintains a leading position in offshore wind engineering and design.
