Cardno Leads Panel at La Camara’s Rail Infrastructure Forum

Cardno is delighted to have Shane Higgins, NSW/ACT/NZ Transport and Property Area Manager, as part of the panel at La Camara’s Rail Infrastructure Forum at DLA Piper offices in Sydney on Thursday, 8 September.

La Camara’s Rail Infrastructure Forum provides industry experts the opportunity to discuss lessons learnt from previous international to local rail projects and strategic factors in delivering feasible rail networks in the future. The four breakout sessions will cover delivering mega urban rail projects; planning, delivering and financing a light rail network; strategic assessment of freight rail network; and rail systems: leveraging new technologies to optimise the transport network system.

Shane Higgins will serve on the panel on the first session, delivering mega urban rail projects. As part of the panel, Shane will share his insights from his extensive experience including utilities on the Sydney Light Rail project. He comes with over 25 years’ experience in Local Government, State Government and private consulting in all aspects of strategic development, project development and delivery from master planning to final construction documentation in a number of complex major infrastructure projects.

La Camara is the Official Spanish-Australian Chamber of Commerce and Industry that fosters business relationships within the Spanish- Australian business community. This not-for-profit association provides networking events across different sectors including infrastructure, information technology and communications, defense, financial services, and energy including renewables. These events help their members strengthen the link between Spain and Australia conducting business.
