“This summit is bringing together for the first time the brain-power of the leading experts on integrating transportation and community design for walkers, bike riders, public transportation users and motorists,” said Ann Pierce, Education Chair for Streets Alive SWFL. “Their willingness to spend these two days here reflects years of grassroots efforts by many people in Lee County to create a 21st-century transportation network.”

Pierce added that the summit will provide a unique opportunity for all who attend, “Our local authorities and the public now have this opportunity to learn from the best, get questions answered and concerns addressed.”
