Dewberry, a privately held professional services firm, has been tasked with replacing Wake County Public School System’s (WCPSS) Cary High School’s greenhouse in North Carolina.

As part of the task, Dewberry will review the existing site and prepare site, landscape, utility, and improvement plans to relocate a gas-heated polycarbonate greenhouse within a bus loop “island.” The firm’s construction plans will include utility layouts and preliminary erosion control options.

“We’re excited to build upon our existing relationship with the school system by serving its landscape architecture needs,” said Dewberry Senior Landscape Architect Dennis E. Pitts, RLA, ASLA. “This project takes advantage of existing, previously unused space to give students practical learning opportunities.”

This is the first landscape architecture task awarded as part of a recently announced indefinite delivery agreement between WCPSS and Dewberry.
