Cardno Launches New Organisational Structure

Cardno today announced a new organisational structure to strengthen its position as a global leader in the provision of professional services to improve the physical and social environment. From 1 July 2016, the company will streamline operations to better connect its business, build and retain long-term client relationships, focus on core services and market sectors and boost financial performance.
The new structure is a key deliverable from Cardno’s Strategic Review, introduced last October by CEO and Managing Director Richard Wankmuller.
“The structural changes reflect our ongoing commitment to building a stronger business and servicing the needs of our clients,” Wankmuller said. “They will be underpinned by a performance-based culture that drives innovation and shares knowledge and expertise across the globe.”
Cardno’s professionals will serve clients across the following four markets:
- Environment
- Infrastructure
- Scientific Consulting
- International Development Assistance
Working across these areas, Cardno will provide planning, consulting, engineering, construction services, program and data management.
Cardno’s core organisational structure will comprise five divisions across three regions.
“This adjustment reflects the market dynamics driving the areas in which we work and also makes business sense for achieving economies of scale,” says Wankmuller.
In the Asia Pacific region, Cardno has consolidated geographically, establishing North and South divisions, while in the Americas the focus will be market-based, with Government & Infrastructure and Science & Environment divisions. The IDA (International Development Assistance) operation will adopt a business model and cost structure suited to its global platform of delivering sustainable solutions in developing countries.
In order to facilitate consistency of expectation and performance across the company, Cardno will also appoint a new Chief Operating Officer to its executive team.
