Ana Tatoris Joins HNTB New Jersey’s Bridge Practice
PARSIPPANY, N.J., July 6, 2016—Ana Tatoris, PE, joined HNTB Corporation as a project engineer in the bridge inspection practice. She is based in the firm’s Parsippany, New Jersey office.
“Ana is an accomplished structural engineer with deep experience in design and bridge inspection,” said Stephen Dilts, HNTB New Jersey office leader and vice president. “She is a significant asset to support our long-standing role as the New Jersey Turnpike Authority’s general consulting engineer as we work together to improve safety and enhance mobility for travelers in New Jersey.”
Tatoris brings more than 25 years of diverse experience in engineering and transportation, including project facilitation, design, bridge inspections, asset management systems, construction and contract management. Her background includes 18 years with the New Jersey Turnpike Authority where she was involved in NJTA’s bridge security program, management of bridge rehabilitation related transportation projects, and the biennial inspection of over 500 NJTA bridges. She also worked on NJTA’s landmark interchange 6 to 9 widening program as well as the development of policies and procedures to implement accelerated bridge construction for the NJTA.
A professional engineer in New Jersey, Tatoris holds both Bachelor of Science and Master of Science degrees in civil engineering from Rutgers University. She was named a Bunting-Cobb graduate fellow which is awarded to women graduate students to help them enhance the undergraduate experiences of women at Rutgers.
In addition to serving as the NJTA’s long-standing general consulting engineer, HNTB’s work in New Jersey includes the design of the superstructure replacement for the Route 18 bridge over Route 1 in New Brunswick; design of intelligent transportation system elements on the Pulaski Skyway rehabilitation as well as other projects for the New Jersey Department of Transportation; and, program manager for New Jersey Transit’s implementation of positive train control technology, among others.
