Minnesota Engineering Talent Bolsters America’s Utilities and Energy Infrastructure
MINNEAPOLIS, Minn., May 24, 2016—Tami Anderson has been named an associate transmission planning engineer at Burns & McDonnell’s Minneapolis-St. Paul office, where she will lead power system studies and planning within the firm’s Business & Technology Services (BTS) Group. Equipped with more than 20 years of business consulting experience in the utility industry, Anderson will support clients across the United States in developing new system strategies and executing transmission planning and operational studies.

Anderson’s vast experience in transmission planning and the utility industry includes a variety of regional roles. For nearly a decade she served as manager of transmission planning for the Mid-Continent Area Power Pool Corp. (MAPPCOR), organizing development of the company’s annual 10-Year Regional Transmission Plan and overseeing NERC compliance analysis and studies. Anderson has also worked as a project manager for WestConnect Regional Planning and as a transmission planning consultant for Great River Energy.
Anderson received a Bachelor of Science in electrical engineering, with a power emphasis, from South Dakota State University. She earned a Project Management Certificate from the University of Minnesota.
