Cody Barrett Joins HNTB as Senior Designer and Developer
AMES, Iowa, May 24, 2016—Cody Barrett, GISP, joined HNTB Corporation as a senior designer and developer. Barrett is based in Ames, Iowa, primarily serving the Iowa Department of Transportation.
“Cody’s mastery as a geographic information systems professional and inspector will provide the Iowa DOT with vital expertise as it works to deliver important infrastructure improvements in the state,” said Mark Pierson, AICP, HNTB environmental planning leader.
In his role at HNTB, Barrett is responsible for developing and enhancing geospatial applications, and performing business analysis and quality assurance testing. Barrett’s current GIS project work includes the development of a customized tool for field data collection and automated tools for enterprise geospatial applications.
Prior to joining HNTB, Barrett served as a GIS coordinator for Warren County, Iowa.
Barrett is involved with the Iowa Geographic Information Council. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Geography and a Geographic Information Science certificate from Arizona State University.
