Neenah, Wis., May 12, 2016—Miron Construction Co., Inc.’s director of sustainable services, Theresa Lehman, LEED Fellow, LEED AP-BD+C, ID+C, was recently named one of a mere 23 WELL Faculty worldwide and is one of 119 individuals who have earned the credential of WELL Accredited Professional (WELL AP) administered by Green Business Certification, Inc. (GBCI), which also administers the LEED credential and certification programs.

The WELL AP is the new, leading credential signifying advanced knowledge of human health and wellbeing in the built environment, and specialization in the WELL Building Standard (WELL), an evidence-based building standard, which sets performance requirements in seven categories: air, water, nourishment, light, fitness, comfort and mind, and was pioneered by Delos® and managed by the International WELL Building Institute (IWBI), a public benefit corporation whose mission is to improve human health and wellbeing through the built environment.

Lehman will be introducing WELL at a four-part education series, Systems to Green Your Project, hosted by WasteCap Resource Solutions and the U.S. Green Building Council – Wisconsin on Thursday, June 9, 2016 at the University of Milwaukee, Zilber School of Public Health, 1240 N. 10th St., Milwaukee.

In Lehman’s seminar, What is WELL?, she will discuss how scientists, leading medical professionals and expert practitioners from the building industry developed the WELL Building Standard to measure, certify, and monitor features that impact human wellness in the built environment and its impact on the construction industry.
