Chicago’s New Vista Tower Will Be the City’s Third Tallest Building
The Vista Tower, designed by award-winning and Chicago native Jeanne Gang, will begin construction this summer on Wacker Drive. The 1,200-foot-tall structure will house a hotel, condominiums and retail space.
The project is a joint venture between Magellan Development Group and the Chinese firm Dalian Wanda Group. This project will mark the largest real estate investment of a Chinese company in the city of Chicago.
The design was unveiled in April of this year along with a sales center at 345 E. Upper Wacker Drive that is complete with sample fixtures and finishes that prospective buyers can explore. The sales center also includes a matrix of 52 flat screens that allow the buyers to immersively visualize the space as well as the exact view that can be seen from any given unit.
The Vista Tower is scheduled to open by 2020.
