Loudoun Gateway Station Excavation Begins
Dulles Corridor Metrorail Project crews began site clearing and excavation work for the Silver Line’s future Loudoun Gateway Station in the median of the Dulles Greenway. The station will be located west of the Old Ox Road overpass.
The work at the Loudoun Gateway Station requires large, slow-moving vehicles and equipment to exit and enter the highway in the eastbound and westbound lanes at various times.

Silver Line construction activity on the Dulles Greenway will continue to build. Following this site work, construction of the Loudoun Gateway Station will begin. Motorists will see an increase in the number of construction vehicles that will be sharing the road and lane and shoulder closures will occur at various locations and times. For your safety and the safety of construction workers, drivers are encouraged to slow down and drive carefully, giving full attention to the road and the possibility of changing conditions.
