The American Council of Engineering Companies (ACEC) recently held its annual Engineering Excellence Awards competition to highlight the exemplary achievements of its members. The awards, which have been honoring outstanding engineering accomplishments worldwide since 1967, rates projects based on uniqueness, innovative applications, future value, public perception, sustainable-development consideration, complexity and successful fulfillment, including schedule and budget.
