150 North Riverside Subject of Engineers Meeting
Please join us on October 6, 2015, as Ron Klemencic discusses 150 N. Riverside in Chicago.
This eye catching building is currently under construction with presently the unique structural framing system exposed. As the project progresses the structural system will surely garner attention from the public. Upon completion the structural system will be covered by architectural cladding with onlookers wondering what could be holding up the building.
Mr. Klemencic is known for his creative yet practical design solutions. A past 5-year Chairman of the Council on Tall Buildings and Urban Habitat, the world’s leading high-rise organization, his focus is on complex high-rise and mixed-use designs. He recently led the development of a new high-rise design methodology known as “Performance-Based Seismic Design,” which provides buildings with increased safety, reliability, and flexibility at a reduced cost, and it is rapidly being adopted throughout the United States. He has worked on projects in 23 states and 23 countries, with projects up to 7 million square feet.
Ron Klemencic was the recipient of the 2015 John F. Parmer Award from SEAOI.

The dinner will be held on Tuesday, October 6, 2015, at the Cliff Dwellers Club located on the 22nd Floor at 200 South Michigan Avenue, Chicago, Illinois. A cash bar will open at 5:15 pm and dinner will be served at 6:00 pm. The program is scheduled to commence at 6:15 pm concurrently with dinner.
