Developers Eye Green Belts in Rural England as Planning System Changes Take Affect

The Campaign to Protect Rural England  is warning developers and local governments that development of green space isn’t the path to economic growth. According to the group, there are bids to build 81,000 new homes in areas formerly protected as green spaces. The group instead would like to see development take place in ways that regenerate cities and stop them from sprawling into urban areas.
