Today, Governor Ricketts announced the retirement of Randy Peters, of Lincoln, from the Nebraska Department of Roads (NDOR) effective May 1, 2015.

From August 4, 2012 to May 1, 2015, Peters served as the Director-State Engineer of the NDOR. Beginning in 1977, Randy has served the State of Nebraska and NDOR in many positions including Computer-Aided Design Coordinator, Assistant Roadway Design Engineer, State Traffic Engineer, Head of Transportation Planning and Project Development and Deputy-Director for Engineering.

“It has been my privilege and honor to serve alongside the men and women of NDOR to build and operate a transportation network that touches every Nebraska community,” stated Peters.

Jamshidi currently serves as the Deputy-Director for Operations/Chief Engineer for the NDOR. In the last 30 years, Mr. Jamshidi has served in various roles including Project Engineer, Assistant Bridge Engineer and Materials Engineer.
