Pre-Qualification for Construction Firms Underway for New Embassy Complex in Mexico City, Mexico

April 2, 2015—The U.S. Department of State’s Bureau of Overseas Buildings Operations (OBO) is requesting submissions to pre-qualify firms for construction services for the construction of a New Embassy Complex (NEC) in Mexico City, Mexico.  The project will consist of the construction of a Chancery with combined Marine Security Guard Residence and Support Annex, an underground parking structure with maintenance and warehouse facilities, a utility building, and other structures and site work.  The project shall achieve a minimum LEED Silver level certification.

The NEC project will occupy 3.77 hectares of the 5.17-hectare U.S. Embassy site in the Nuevo Polanco neighborhood of Mexico City.
