Thomas Leslie to Lecture Illinois Structural Engineers on Skyscrapers
The Structural Engineers Foundation invites  engineers to join in welcoming Thomas Leslie, AIA, Pickard Chilton Professor in Architecture and Director of Graduate Education at Iowa State University.
Professor Leslie is the author of Chicago Skyscrapers, 1871–1934 (Champaign: University of Illinois Press, June 2013). He joined the faculty of Iowa State University in 2000. He also served on the faculties of Northwestern University, the University of Technology (Sydney, Australia) and Bauhaus–ster and Partners where he was the CA Site Architect for Stanford University Center for Clinical Sciences Research and Project Architect for Al Faisaliah Banquet Hall, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
The event will take place on April 2, 2015 from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at the University Center at 525 South State Street, 2nd Floor in Chicago, Ill.
