Cincinnati to Add a Data-Driven Analysis Center

In the future, tracking Cincinnati’s overtime pay, budget overruns or even the backlog of business permits could be just a few mouse clicks away.

Monday will kick off a new era of city management in Cincinnati as incoming manager Harry Black officially steps into his new role.

By the end of the year, Black says he wants to establish a new city office of Performance and Data Analytics that will work across each department to collect scores of data aimed at measuring just how well the city is doing its countless jobs and managing its $1 billion budget.
