City of Los Angeles Selects Acquia to Build and Scale Digital Platforms for Citizen Services
Acquia, the digital business company, today announced that the City of Los Angeles Information Technology Agency (ITA) has selected Acquia Cloud Site Factory to build, manage and govern its public-facing digital experiences at scale. The City of LA plans to migrate more than 20 separate websites to Drupal, the leading enterprise web content management system. Through Acquia’s Enablement Program, the agency is working closely with Acquia during the initial migration of three of the City’s most visited sites: lacity.org, lacityview.org and ladot.lacity.org, helping the ITA develop its Drupal expertise to lead the remaining Drupal migrations. The City joins the Los Angeles Public Library, the LA Philharmonic, Discover Los Angeles and thousands more that rely on Drupal.

According to a recent survey from Accenture Digital, 70 percent of citizens are interested in digitally accessing government services. The City sought greater resiliency to support its sites and increasing the number of online services they offer.
