USA: Groundwater Solutions: Innovating to Address Emerging Issues for Groundwater Resources
Aug 8 – Aug 9 all-day

Be a part of this symposium to identify real solutions to large dilute groundwater plumes, emerging contaminants in groundwater, and other constituents that affect our drinking water supply.

All industrialized nations are confronted with remediation challenges of varying scopes and natures. That, coupled with the daunting undertaking of addressing known and as yet unknown hazards and contaminants, proves challenging for even the most responsible entities. Where can good science, regulation, and practical expectations intersect to serve the public good?

Intended to be comprehensive in approach, this symposium will create a forum where all who work in and serve the groundwater, as well as the drinking water, community can discuss and debate appropriate longer-term solutions for the evaluation and restoration of impacted and compromised groundwater. How will sharing good science and harnessing innovation lead us to develop best practices for short-term situational management when drinking water supplies are affected?

Mexico: World Energy Leaders’ Summit 2017
Sep 12 – Sep 13 all-day

World Energy Leaders’ Summits (WELS) are high-level exclusive events organised by the World Energy Council for the global energy leaders’ community to facilitate on-going dialogue on critical issues affecting the energy sector.

The Mexico City WELS will be co-hosted by Mexico’s Secretaría de Energía (SENER) and participation is by invitation only to Ministers, the Council’s Patron and Global Partner CEOs, officials and selected high-level guests. The agenda will build upon insights gained from the World Energy Council’s on-going studies, including the World Energy Scenarios, and the World Energy Trilemma. The Mexico City WELS will also feature the Trilemma Ministerial Roundtable for the World Energy Council’s Ministerial and Patron CEO community.

World Energy Leaders’ Summits provide an important milestone and build on the Council’s unique ability to convene this powerful energy leaders’ community to address issues and challenges in a targeted regional context, most recently in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia in October 2015 and at the 23rd World Energy Congress in October 2016 in Istanbul, Turkey.

USA: Commercial UAV Expo 2017
Oct 24 – Oct 26 all-day

Commercial UAV Expo is for a very specific category of UAS users: those using drones for highly technical work in seven vertical industries.

Every day, I speak to professionals integrating or operating UAS for large industrial assets and this is what I’ve found: For them, it’s all about the data, from precise data acquisition, to processing, to deliverables that inform business decisions.

If this rings true for you, there is only one commercial UAS event that will address your questions at the level you need and that’s Commercial UAV Expo.

USA: High Accuracy Mapping with DJI Phantom & Inspire Drones @ The Westgate Resort
Oct 24 @ 8:00 am – 4:30 pm

This colloquium will teach participants how to do mapping with DJI Phantom 4 Pro and Inspire 2 drones. The lecture will start with an overview of drone mapping and briefly discuss the sweet spots for drone mapping that considers both FAA restrictions as well as the physical capabilities of the Phantom/Inspire drones.   Camera calibration techniques will be presented along with the contribution that calibration makes to overall project accuracy.  The audience will be introduced to new hardware devices and collection techniques that can be used to achieve the centimeters-level positioning necessary to do topographic mapping and differential volumetrics.  The complete data processing workflow from point cloud generation through product creation using elements of GeoCue’s Bring Your Own Drone (BYOD) Mapping Kit will be presented.

Following this colloquium, participants will have a complete understanding of the capabilities of Phantom/Inspire-class drones and the techniques that can be used with these devices to do serious mapping projects.A registration fee of $125 will be required to attend. Lunch will be provided.

Registration is avilable through Commercial UAV Expo conference registration. Use promotional code AIRGON.
