ST. LOUIS (Aug. 3, 2018) – HNTB Corporation marked its 20th anniversary of service to transportation agencies in the St. Louis area on Aug. 3. The firm’s St. Louis office opened in 1998 and has operated continuously since then, serving numerous local public and private clients. Currently, HNTB is located at 211 North Broadway in the heart of downtown.

The office employs a multidisciplinary team of full-time professionals and anticipates ongoing staff additions. These individuals have a broad range of experience that spans roadway, transit and rail, intelligent transportation systems, bridges and more.

“HNTB’s diverse array of expertise is helping advance the successful delivery of complex transportation projects throughout the St. Louis region,” said Wayne Feuerborn, St. Louis office leader and vice president. “Over the past two decades, building trust and long-term relationships with local clients is how the firm consistently has been able to provide technically innovative, meaningful work that has helped shape our multimodal transportation system.”

During the past two decades, the firm’s work in the region has included designing the Stan Musial Veterans Memorial Bridge; designing new directional ramps to replace functionally and structurally obsolete existing structures for the Poplar Street Bridge Interchange Reconstruction project; and completing the Northside-Southside Transit Improvements Study/Alternatives Analysis for the East-West Gateway Council of Governments, in cooperation with the City of St. Louis, the Missouri Department of Transportation and St. Louis Metro.

Other notable projects include design and construction services for the recently opened Cortex MetroLink Station, which included capacity improvements at MetroLink’s existing Central West End Station. Additionally, HNTB is part of a design-build team with Massman Construction to replace the Route 54 Champ Clark Bridge in Louisiana, Missouri, about 90 miles north of St. Louis.

HNTB’s St. Louis professionals support many industry and civic organizations, including the American Society of Civil Engineers, the American Railway Engineering and Maintenance-of-Way Association, the Structural Engineering Institute, the American Public Works Association Engineers’ Club of St. Louis, TEAM STL and the St. Louis Regional Chamber of Commerce.

“HNTB looks forward to continuing our history of taking a leadership role in delivering infrastructure solutions and technical excellence throughout metropolitan St. Louis,” Feuerborn said. “We are committed to contributing to the region’s growth and prosperity through the construction of a modern and efficient transportation network.”
