LOS ANGELES, CA (July 16, 2018) — Adrienne Lindgren joins WSP USA, a leading engineering and professional services consultancy to focus on urban aviation innovation. In her new role, Ms. Lindgren will utilize her most recent experience as the manager of economic and business policy at the Office of Los Angeles Mayor Eric Garcetti to meet the needs of advisory clients.

Urban aviation is one of the growing segments in WSP USA’s advisory services portfolio. “Adrienne brings a diverse skill set in planning, infrastructure finance, economic development, trade and commerce, politics and international relations to our team,” says John Porcari, president of advisory services at WSP USA. “She is enthusiastic about the emerging field of urban aviation and its intersection with the other urban safety and mobility initiatives, including autonomous vehicles.”

Within urban aerial innovation, Ms. Lindgren brings knowledge of several aspects from the technical, to regulatory, to financial and economic considerations and works at the intersection of these fields, which emphasizes the integration of technologies like UAVs and eVTOLs into mobility systems and the national airspace. Her focus will be to boost WSP’s visibility in urban aviation innovation across all sectors and end markets including federal, state, local/municipal, and commercial.

Ms. Lindgren’s work as part of Mayor Garcetti’s administration, included putting in place frameworks, programmatic structures and implementation plans for over $1 billion in local and federal initiatives including the U.S. Department of Transportation/Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Unmanned Aircraft Systems Integration Pilot Program, a multi-agency proposal that integrated uses for UAVs into the Port of Los Angeles, Los Angeles International Airport (LAX), Van Nuys Airport, and with the Los Angeles Fire Department. In addition to her role in developing the city’s new urban aviation strategy, Ms. Lindgren also oversaw the implementation of public-private partnerships for industrial innovation and cluster development, and led stakeholder engagement with private partners and public agencies including the Port of Los Angeles; Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation Authority; Los Angeles World Airports; FAA; NASA; and the U.S. Departments of Energy, Transportation, Defense and Commerce.
