Felix Vergara Joins HNTB’s Florida Construction Services Practice as Senior Project Engineer

LAUDERDALE, Fla. – Felix Vergara, PE, joined HNTB Corporation’s construction services practice in Florida as senior project engineer. Vergara is responsible for overall contract management, administration and coordination on mid- to large-size projects throughout Florida. He is based in HNTB’s Ft. Lauderdale office.

Vergara has more than 34 years of experience in the administration of highway and bridge projects. Throughout his career, he has served on major projects for Florida’s Turnpike Enterprise; FDOT Districts 1, 4 and 6; Miami-Dade Expressway Authority; and Tampa Hillsborough Expressway Authority.

Prior to joining HNTB, Vergara served as a senior project engineer for another consulting firm. Throughout his career, he has served on a wide range of complex projects in South Florida, including the SR 836 Infrastructure Modifications for Open Road Tolling (East Section) project for MDX and the Miami Tunnel Access Project for FDOT District 6.

Vergara earned a Master of Science in geotechnical engineering and a Bachelor of Science in civil engineering from the University of Florida.
