MIAMI  – HNTB Corporation, a national infrastructure solutions firm celebrating more than a century of service to transportation clients, is growing in South Florida to help meet the region’s infrastructure needs and deliver large-scale projects. HNTB currently employs approximately 90 regional professionals from offices in Miami and Ft. Lauderdale, and recently moved its Miami operation to 161 N.W. 6th Street.

The office building is part of the new mixed-use Miami Central development, which is near the Brightline passenger rail station. HNTB is honored to provide program management, design and construction engineering services for Brightline’s Miami to West Palm Beach passenger line.

“We’re so pleased to be at this prestigious address, near our clients and Miami’s financial center,” said Gus Pego, PE, HNTB South Florida office leader and vice president. “Our employees will thrive in this high-energy, creative environment as they deliver innovative solutions to our clients who are working to improve South Florida’s multimodal transportation network.”

The firm’s legacy in South Florida can be traced back to 1954 when it was involved in airfield improvements and a new terminal at Miami International Airport. Currently, HNTB’s clients in the region include the Florida Department of Transportation Districts 4 and 6, the City of Miami, Miami-Dade Aviation Department, Miami Dade Transit and Public Works, Broward County Aviation Department, Miami-Dade Expressway Authority and more.

In South Florida, HNTB has been, or is currently, involved in some of the region’s most significant infrastructure projects and programs, including the Miami Intermodal Center, 95 express lanes, Miami Trolley, I-595 Express Corridor Improvements, Miami-Dade Expressway Authority SR 836 Toll Plaza, and expansion of Runway 9R–27L at Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport.

HNTB plans to fill additional positions in roadway, bridge, and intelligent transportation systems/traffic in the coming months.
