HNTB Adds Construction Management Experts Scott Golab and Juan Quiroga to Firm’s Operations in South Texas

AUSTIN  – Scott Golab, PE, and Juan Quiroga, PE, MS, joined HNTB Corporation, adding to the firm’s growing talent base in South Texas.

Scott Golab, PE

“Scott and Juan both bring significant technical capabilities to our team, as well as the necessary leadership skills to help our clients be successful by overcoming their biggest challenges,” said Michelle Dippel, HNTB Central and South Texas office leader and vice president.  

Golab is based in HNTB’s Corpus Christi Harbor Bridge project office and serves as construction oversight manager for the replacement of the Harbor Bridge, the longest cable-stayed highway bridge in North America.

He has 26 years of construction management, resident engineering and inspection experience on complex bridges and structures, complex interchanges, highways and roads. Before joining HNTB, he served as a senior project engineer for another consulting firm.

He earned a Bachelor of Science in civil engineering from Southern Illinois University.

 

Quiroga also is based in the Harbor Bridge project office and serves as deputy program manager for the bridge replacement project.

Juan Quiroga, PE, MS

He has more than 25 years of industry experience, including program management of toll transportation facilities and construction management for airports, highway interchanges and express lane projects. Prior to joining HNTB, he served as senior project manager for a Florida highway and bridge construction firm where he was responsible for construction management for a major express lanes project.

Quiroga earned a Master of Science in civil engineering-geotechnical from Northwestern University and a Bachelor of Science in civil engineering-structural from the University of South Alabama.

In Central and South Texas, HNTB currently is working on, or has been involved with, some of the region’s most significant infrastructure projects, including serving as both general planning consultant and general engineering consultant for Capital Metro in Austin; planning consultant for TxDOT Transportation Planning and Programming Division; General Engineering Consultant for TxDOT Project Finance, Debt and Strategic Contracts Division in San Antonio; and construction engineering and inspection services for the U.S. 281/Loop 1604 Interchange in San Antonio.
