Bryan Ulrich Named Vice President in Stantec’s Mining Practice
Denver, CO, NYSE, TSX:STN: Bryan Ulrich has joined Stantec as a vice president in its mining practice. Ulrich is an internationally-recognized authority on tailing storage, including alternative tailing disposal. He has been involved with all aspects of heap leach facility design, including dozens of projects globally.
Ulrich has more than 30 years of experience in engineering, project management, design, construction, and site investigations for mining-related projects. He will work from Stantec’s Broadway office in Denver, Colorado. Ulrich maintains a residence in both Denver and Elko, Nevada.

Ulrich is an expert in several fields, including assessments to estimate potential seismic activity, use and interpretation of in-situ tests, propensity for static and earthquake-induced liquefaction, material property derivation, laboratory analyses, and slope stability analysis, including the estimation of earthquake-induced slope deformation. He has considerable experience with surface and underground paste tailings, both in the academic study of the behavior of paste and in many practical design matters.
Ulrich is a graduate of the University of Alberta, and a registered professional mining engineer (South Africa) and professional civil engineer (Colorado, Nevada, Idaho, Wyoming, New Mexico and Montana). He serves on the Industrial Advisory Board for the Minerals Engineering department at the New Mexico Institute of Mining and Technology.
