Craig Denson Appointed to Chief Financial Officer of HNTB

KANSAS CITY, Mo.  – Craig Denson, CPA, has been named CFO of HNTB. Denson, a senior vice president, has been with the firm for almost 17 years in various roles, including corporate controller and most recently as corporate treasurer. He has been responsible for all aspects of accounting and finance functions at HNTB, including long-range capital planning, banking and treasury management, retirement plan administration, shareholder relations, annual share price valuation, corporate taxes and all corporate accounting and financial reporting.

Denson also has served as the corporate secretary for the past 12 years.

As CFO, he oversees 57 professionals who support the corporate financial operation.

“Craig’s numerous significant accomplishments have contributed to the firm’s fiscal security and effective corporate governance,” said Rob Slimp, HNTB CEO. “His outstanding work with HNTB’s Board of Directors and employee shareholders is essential to the firm’s ongoing prosperous growth.”

Denson is active in several professional organizations including Employee-Owned S-Corporations of America serving as Director and Policy committee member; U.S. Chamber of Commerce member of the Tax committee; and Financial Executives Institute, Kansas City, Mo., chapter.

Denson earned a Bachelor of Science in accounting from Kansas State University and Master of Business Administration from Rockhurst University’s executive program.

Denson succeeds senior vice president Terry Campbell, who is retiring from HNTB on Feb. 2 after serving as CFO for 17 years.
