ALLENTOWN, Pa. – Ongoing growth and commitment to client service led HNTB Corporation to open a new office, the firm’s fifth in Pennsylvania, in the Lehigh Valley region on Oct. 12. Located at 640 Hamilton Street, in Allentown, the office enables the firm to enhance services to clients in the region.

“As our footprint continues to expand in Pennsylvania, a presence in the Lehigh Valley gives us the ability to better serve regional clients and attract new hires to help address critical infrastructure needs,” said Joseph Guzzi, PMP, HNTB’s Pennsylvania office leader and vice president. “HNTB’s extensive experience and history in Pennsylvania includes partnering with the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation on many major highway and bridge projects throughout the state. We look forward to building on the partnership with PennDOT District 5 and our other clients.”

HNTB’s work in the Lehigh Valley, one of the fastest growing areas in the state, includes serving as bridge designer for the rehabilitation of Bethlehem’s Hill to Hill Bridge, a complex 1,600-foot long, 13-span structure carrying 38,000 vehicles a day over the Lehigh River and canal, Norfolk Southern Railroad, and various city streets in the City of Bethlehem. Other projects include design of the Fahey Bridge which is due to be completed before the end of 2017, and HNTB also was the lead design firm for the American Parkway project for the City of Allentown.

HNTB is involved in many high-profile infrastructure programs throughout Pennsylvania, including multiple highway and bridge projects for PennDOT, Southeast Pennsylvania Transportation Authority, Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission, Delaware River Port Authority, and Keystone Corridor rail-line improvements on behalf of Amtrak and PennDOT, among many others.
