Alaska Native Program Manager Joins Stantec in Anchorage

Anchorage, AK: NYSE, TSX:STN: Adam Leggett has joined Stantec in its Anchorage office as the Alaska Native Program Manager, focusing on developing business relationships with Alaska Native corporations and organizations. Leggett has 10 years of experience working for a variety of Alaska businesses, including oil and gas companies and Alaska Native businesses.

Since joining Stantec, Leggett has been working on expanding Stantec’s diversity and inclusion program by ensuring that Alaska Native recruitment is integrated into Stantec’s hiring efforts. He serves as a liaison working with the Stantec federal team to facilitate partnerships with Alaska Native organizations to pursue government contracting opportunities. Leggett works across all Stantec disciplines and sectors to advise on cultural sensitivity and awareness when doing business throughout Alaska.

Prior to joining Stantec, Leggett spent the previous seven years working in the business side of Alaska’s oil and gas industry. His project experience includes business analyses, planning, and experience with one firm’s Alaska Native hire committee.

Leggett is a council trustee for the Native Village of Eklutna and serves on the scholarship committee for Eklutna, Inc. He holds a Master of Business Administration from Alaska Pacific University and a Bachelor of Science in Business Management from Florida State University. He served four years in the U.S. Navy as a cryptologic technician.
