JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – John Fowler, PE, joined HNTB Corporation as Northeast Florida design leader, based in the firm’s Jacksonville office. He is responsible for leading HNTB’s design efforts in Northeast Florida, working with the Florida Department of Transportation and various municipal agencies on transportation preservation and capacity projects.

With nearly 15 years of industry experience, Fowler has served as project manager and engineer-of-record on a variety of infrastructure projects. In addition, John served as a technical expert in pavement management.

“John’s practical, hands-on design experience, coupled with his proven ability to provide technical support to other engineers, makes him an outstanding addition to our team,” said Frank O’Dea, PE, HNTB vice president and group director–engineering. “He has provided leadership for a number of transportation projects that enhance mobility and safety for Floridians, and will continue that excellence as a member of HNTB’s Northeast Florida team.”

Additionally, he served in FDOT’s central office in Tallahassee, where he was responsible for the department’s pavement management program and worked with districts throughout Florida.

Fowler earned a Bachelor of Science in civil engineering from the University of Central Florida.
