Symbolizing the type of care a patient can expect to receive at the new Calgary Cancer Centre the design features two curving L shaped forms that come together in an embrace that surrounds an all season exterior garden as the “heart”.  The heart will provide year-round access and views to nature for patients and their families as they receive care and treatment.

The design of the new Calgary Cancer Centre will support the discovery and delivery of high quality cancer care. In this collaborative environment, health care providers will be encouraged by a facility that supports innovation and education. At the center of it all, the heart of healing is connected to the experience patients, families, and visitors receive.

Stantec, and DIALOG in collaboration, is responsible for the architectural and interior design of the new Calgary Cancer Centre, as well as structural and electrical engineering. Stantec will also provide civil and transportation engineering services.
